Pilates fundamentally retrains the body how to move properly. It makes you aware of how your body moves and how to move it correctly, all off which makes you more efficient in your running.
What we perceive as being weakness in our muscles is not always 'true' weakness, but rather the muscle is being inhibited from carrying out its full movement. Pilates is a method which can unblock the inhibited muscles and thereby release your true strength potential.
It is beneficial for you as a runner as it can help you to increase your range of movement and your strength through those ranges therefore allowing you to get more out of each step you take. It can also be used in rehabilitation from and prevention of injury.
Mat classes are held with a maximum of 6 people to ensure sufficient individual attention within a class environment. Individual sessions are also available for both mat and studio based equipment. Small group classes on the equipment are also available.
Classes: Block of 6 mat classes £60
Small group classes on equipment £60 for 4 classes
Individual sessions: £40
